New Seminar Series at AKBW: Knowledge Management and AI in Planning Offices
Starting in autumn 2026, I am teaching a three-part qualification on knowledge management and AI for the Chamber of Architects Baden-Württemberg and IFBau, around 20 teaching hours in total.
Starting in autumn 2026, I am teaching a three-part qualification on knowledge management and AI in planning offices, together with IFBau at the Chamber of Architects Baden-Württemberg. The series is deliberately extensive, around 20 teaching hours in total, aimed at architects, engineers, and office leaders who want to structure their data and put AI to real use.
A freely bookable online morning lays the foundation. On October 14, 2026, it covers the key concepts of AI, why unstructured data is the actual bottleneck, and what the EU AI Act requires. Two full in-person days at the Haus der Architektinnen und Architekten in Stuttgart build on that. On November 3, 2026, participants build their own AI-supported document search step by step and develop a metadata schema for their knowledge base. On November 23, 2026, the second in-person day focuses on automating acquisition work, including a self-built automation for tender research and a prioritized roadmap for further processes in their own office.
Anyone who misses the autumn run gets a second chance in January and February 2027, with the same structure: fundamentals on January 14, 2027, the two in-person days on January 28 and February 25, 2027.
The bar for this series is high. By the end, participants leave with more than a basic understanding of AI. They leave with a working knowledge base they built themselves and a concrete automation roadmap for their own office.
