Guest Talk at Menschen, Maschinen, Kodizes. Architecture and Philosophy in Conversation

I was a guest at the "Menschen, Maschinen, Kodizes" conversation series at TU Darmstadt and the Schader Foundation, on ethics, AI and what defines architecture.

On April 21, 2026, I was a guest in the conversation series "Menschen, Maschinen, Kodizes. Architecture and Philosophy in Conversation," initiated by Prof. Dr. Sandra Meireis at the Department of Architectural Theory and Science at TU Darmstadt, in cooperation with the Schader Foundation.

The series brings together architects and philosophers to critically examine the opportunities and limits of human-machine collaboration in design. From digitally-supported workflows to generative AI in creative processes.

The questions are not new, but they are becoming more urgent. Where does creative authorship end? What responsibility remains with the architect when a machine generates? And what is actually at stake when we automate design?
