SWZPLN 3D: Runner-Up at BIM Champions 2026, Berlin
SWZPLN 3D, a free 3D urban model generator based on open standards, was a finalist at BIM Champions 2026 in Berlin and placed second.
On May 12, 2026, the BIM Champions 2026 were announced at the buildingSMART User Day in Berlin. SWZPLN 3D finished in second place, and we are proud of it.
Submitted was the project "Democratization of IFC Building Data through Open Standards." SWZPLN has been a free Nolli plan generator since 2020. With SWZPLN 3D, a new dimension is added. 3D city models, exportable as IFC 4.3, DXF 3D, and OBJ, compatible with Revit, Archicad, and all major BIM tools.
New features include automatic hatching in DXF export, streets rendered with correct line weights, and a result that looks like a real urban plan. Everything free, no account required, processed locally in the browser.
